By reading Geek With Laptop you agree to these short terms. They exist to be clear about what the site offers and what it does not.

Using the content. The guides, retrospectives and diagrams are provided free for you to read and apply in your own personal or professional work. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. Please do not republish whole pages or the diagram files as your own; link to them instead.

Accuracy and limits. The content is provided in good faith as general reference material and is reviewed by a person. Laptops, operating systems and the historical record all change, so a step may not match your exact model or version. You are responsible for decisions about your own equipment. Pages about heat, posture and safety summarise published research and are not medical advice; consult a clinician for any health concern.

Password recovery and router firmware. The password recovery guide describes regaining access to a computer and account you own or are authorised to administer. Using it against any other system may be a criminal offence and is entirely your responsibility. The router guide notes that flashing third-party firmware can void warranties and damage devices; follow your device maker's documentation.

Archived software. The Projects pages document retired WordPress software for historical reference only. The site does not distribute that software, does not recommend installing it on any current system, and accepts no responsibility for copies obtained elsewhere.

No warranty. The site and its content are provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the site's editor and operator are not liable for any loss arising from use of the content.

Changes. These terms may be updated; the date above will change when they are. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. Questions can be sent via the contact page.
